ARMING A SPLIT SYSTEM AS A STANDARD USER
As explained at the beginning of the chapter, two different ‘standby’ displays and two different ‘selection’
displays can be shown. The instructions below use the “Status” displays.
Because the system is split, you can select one or more areas from the available security areas.
1. Go to the keypad. This shows the status of the areas.
Areas 1 and 2 are disarmed.

2. Press the 0 key and then enter your code. A ‘*’ appears in the
display for every key you press. Use the 0 key to cancel an
incorrect entry and to restart a new entry of the code.

3. An underscore appears alternately under ‘1’ and ‘2’. Enter
the number of the area required.

To arm area 1, therefore, enter ‘1’.

Area 1 begins the arming procedure.
Normal Set
The arrow appears to indicate that it is now possible to
inhibit zones using the ‘áá’ key. See ‘Arming with open
zones as a standard user’ on page 20.

Area 1 is arming. If programmed, the beeper for area 1 will
start.

4. The exit time for area 1 is operating.
Area 2 is still disarmed.
=1= 2
As long as the underscore is still alternating under ‘1’ and
‘2’, you can still arm area 2.
To arm area 2, therefore, enter ‘2’ .

Area 2 begins the arming procedure.

The arrow appears to indicate that it is now possible to

Area 1 is arming.
Area 2 is now also arming.
If programmed, the beeper for area 2 will start..

The exit time for areas 1 and 2 is operating.

The current status of the areas appears automatically.
Both areas are now armed.
